Graphite
Drawing of an old photo of my brother and me
Adobe Illustrator
The owner was searching for a logo that represented traveling, craft beer, and exploring new places.
Crayons, Photoshop
This fun GIF and sticker started as a 25 minute sketch practice using only five colors of crayons. After the sketch was finished, I scanned the drawing and put it into Photoshop. There I toyed with some settings and loved what was happening, so I turned the results into a GIF. Later, this scan was turned into stickers.
Gouache, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign
This wedding suite was designed for a couple that isn’t afraid of pink. We went with a feminine pink floral theme, and complemented it with a strong navy color.
The suite includes a formal invite, details card, map, and an RSVP postcard all wrapped in a vellum sleeve and hand stamped with a monogramed wax seal. The sleeve was stuffed into a lined envelope and addressed with calligraphy.
Adobe Indesign
A typography passion project using my favorite manifesto.
Wooden hangers, oil based paint pens
Personalized hangers. These are especially popular for day-of wedding festivities. Great for photographs of the wedding dress, or matching robes.
Faux leather jacket, oil based paint pens
This “Just Married” leather jacket was created for a bride to wear at their wedding reception.
Adobe Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop
This project was created to solve way finding issues on a disc golf course. My partner and I created an app for scoring, a map of the place, new easily visible numbers, recycling and trash receptacles, and clearly marked the women’s tee from the men’s.
Adobe Illustrator and Indesign
I was chosen to create the poster design for our senior seminar class gallery showing at Michigan State University. Our theme was CMYK and it had to include various information including all the names of the students participating, as well as the usual what/when/where information.
Gouache on watercolor paper
I painted these two pictures for two of the babes I once nannied. The horse was for a 16 month old boy who was fascinated by horses, and the T.Rex was for a 4 year old who was enthralled by all things dinosaurs—especially Tyrannosaurus Rex. He is also a big fan of the colors orange and red.
BLUE JUGS SEATING CHART
Oil based pens on glass jars
This bride and groom took a nontraditional route with their seating chart and had me hand letter jars with names of guests to find which table they would be seated.
WINDOWS WEDDING SEATING CHART
Oil based pens on antique windows
This bride and groom chose to have their reception in a barn, so to stay with the theme we used these antique windows as a seating chart for guests to find their tables.
